Located on the Point Brown Peninsula, The Grey Gull is surrounded by gorgeous bodies of waters. So, if you’re looking for things to do in Ocean Shores, consider hitting up some Washington fishing hot spots. Anglers will love our diverse fresh and saltwater fishing offerings. Plus, you can take advantage of our fully-equipped kitchens to prepare your daily catch!

Fresh Water Washington Fishing Spots

If you need a few supplies or a license, make a quick detour to Buck Electric Ace Hardware. While the Pacific Ocean and Grays Harbor border the Point Brown Peninsula, our Ocean Shores resort in WA is close to two freshwater lakes and 23 miles of canals. Head to North Bay Park at Duck Lake year-round to reel in some bass, trout, and crappie. Rent a kayak and try your hand at fishing on the lake or on one of the many canals that run through Ocean Shores.

Salt Water Washington Fishing Spots

You’re sure to reel in a few saltwater fish whether you decide to cast a line from the shore or opt for a deep-sea fishing venture. The best surf fishing spot is by North Jetty or Damon Point. If you choose for a deep-sea guide, be prepared for some halibut, tuna, and salmon. Many Washington fishing charters can supply you with a license on the spot. Regardless of your preferences, you’re bound to find a prime area to cast a line near our Ocean Shores beachfront hotel.
