Are you close to the beach?

We are located 1 block north of the Chance A La Mer State Park Beach access point.  Vehicle access and beach driving are permitted. 

Guests of the Grey Gull can access the beach with a ¼ mile walk through a maintained walking path with a tree canopy from our back yard directly to the dunes.



What utensils are provided in rooms with kitchens?


All rooms include dishes for the occupancy allowed in the room (plates, bowls, coffee cups, glasses, forks, knives, spoons).  Pans, spatulas, serving spoons, colander, and tea kettle are also included.   Our rooms with full kitchens also include baking dishes.  All rooms are unique and may include additional items.  Please inquire if you are needing something specific.


Are rooms stocked with food or beverage?

Food and beverage items are not stocked in the rooms.   



Where can I pick up groceries before I arrive?


We recommend stopping at the following stores on your way into town.



Is there a deposit needed for my reservation?

A deposit of 1-night room and tax will be collected on all reservations 3 days (72 hours) prior to your scheduled arrival.

Can someone else pay for my room?

In the event the person paying for the room will not be present at check-in, the hotel will accept pre-payment when a valid credit card authorization form is used.  The credit card authorization form must be completed prior to check-in and all required documents must be returned to the hotel.  The credit card listed on the form will be used for payment and guarantee.  A major credit card or cash may be required at the time of check-in to cover incidentals or fees not covered by the credit card authorization form.

What if I need to cancel?


If your plans change and you need to cancel, please do so by 4 PM  at least 3 days (72 hours) prior to your scheduled arrival.  Failure to do so will result in a penalty of 1-night room and tax.  Reservations MUST be canceled in the same place your reservation was made.  If you booked on a third party please cancel via that third party.  If you booked on our website please call the hotel and we'll take care of that for you personally.  View our reservation policy here.

Check-in time is 4:00 PM

When is check-out?


Check-Out time is 12 PM

Can I get an early check-in?


If the room is available earlier than 4:00 PM we would be happy to check you in early, however, we are not able to guarantee availability.  Feel free to give us a call and we should be able to give you an idea of whether an early check-in would be available or not.

Can I get a late check-out?


Late check-out may be available for a fee.  Please contact the front desk for availability.



Are pets allowed?


Dogs are allowed in dog-friendly units only.  Please read our pet policy here.

What is your smoking policy?

The entire property is non-smoking.  There is a minimum $300 fine for smoking in a non-smoking room.  For more information visit our policy page.

Are there ADA-compliant rooms?

We do have rooms with ADA-compliant features.  Please contact us for availability.



Is there wi-fi access?


Newly upgraded wifi is complimentary.

The sauna is located in the center of the main building.  10 AM-10 PM.

When is the pool open?

10 AM-10 PM

What if I need something?

You can call the front desk during operating hours.  After hours phone number will be available in case of urgent needs.

Is my room cleaned daily?

We currently will only clean rooms upon departure. During your stay, if you need fresh linens, towels or toiletries please place them in the provided bag and place it outside your door before 12 pm.  Our housekeeping staff will drop fresh items outside your door.
