Winter Activities at the Coast
Winter at the Washington Coast is a magical time of year. Less people walking along the beach, more seashells to be discovered and tons of cozy comforts to be enjoyed and appreciated in the winter! Below are a few of the many things to do around Ocean Shores during the winter.

GO CLAMMING
Clamming is a popular activity around here in the winter. You'll see families, groups of friends, and visitors to the region out digging for tasty clams. Why? Because it’s fun, and it’s easy!

SEARCH FOR SEASHELLS
Winter is the best time to go searching for treasures on the beach. Why? The heavier waves the coast gets this time of year stirs up the surf and drops a ton of unique shells on the sands.

Visit Griffiths-Priday State Park
Griffiths-Priday State Park is a 533-acre marine day-use park with 8,316 feet of saltwater shoreline on the coast and 9,950 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Copalis River. A great place to explore anytime of the year!

EAT CLAM CHOWDER
There are few things that are better than a bowl of chowder on a winter day at the Washington Coast. We recommend trying Bennett's Fish Shack, located right here in Ocean Shores!

SIT BY THE FIRE
Warm up after a long day of exploring Ocean Shores by the fire. Drink hot coco by the fireplace in your guestroom.

WALK ALONG THE BEACH
Wash away your winter woes at the Washington Coast. Wake up to the waves and bundle up for a crowd-less walk on the beach.
